Back from India finally!! :D
I cant wait to come back while I'm in india because I'm starving over there, while people were stuffing themselves with local food. Hence I've lost abit of weight and become botak bamboo pole while they've gained weight.haha. I remember the first and second day I was there, I already told myself singapore is just a perfect place to be in. Be it the food, living conditions, cleaniness, organizations, buildings, transport every tiny little thing, they are just too perfect and ready for us to live in. While over there at India, its polluted air, drains, water etc. me ailian and jess was even thinking how we are to brush our teeth as we were told the tap water is not safe to consume.
Despite the majority of things they have lacked of over there, the imperfect place has molded people of great personality who possesses great skills and humanity. People there are contented with what they have, proactive, straightforward, eager to learn, willing to take the hardships, warm, and individualistic is not what they seek for. In india, the optometrist work/study 12 hrs a day spending most of their times seeing 100s of patients a day. While us in singapore we only see 3 patients in a day, and we were all complaining how tired it is.
In the perfect place in singapore, where everything is already planned and a path already laid ahead of us, and also with the mentality of " if i get good grades, i will go into good course, good uni.." "If I" "If I" when I comes first, when our government unknowingly emphasize on individualistic. Imperfect people and younger generations like us were then being brought up a wrong way. We became more self centred, Like how i dislike my juniors because they only listen to themselves. we think about ourselves first, and we GIVE only if we know it BENEFITS us, or in someways allow us to gain what we want. A talk with Mr sim that day allowed me to understand the "Essence' of the india trip.
Its visible during the india trip, how we had behaved, and that when we were all stripped off from our computers, connections with our families, and we have to take care of one another be it whether you like that person or not, people became more caring, and understand the importance of human interactions and relationships.
Alright I shall continue another day! hopefully with peeeektures when i've got them all (:
*Stuffing myself with food and more food eevryday!*
